Do You Think They're Sexy?

OK, we get it. Everyone was high during the 1970's. And we'll concede, a teensy little bit, that Barry is kinda cute. But how the heck did this pass for "sexy" back in the day?! Sam Elliot, Jan-Michael Vincent, hell, even Erik Estrada -- these are all polyester-era hunks that we would gladly do unspeakable acts with in their prime. But this...well, this just confuses us. Even if we do get weepy when we hear "How Deep is Your Love."

  1. I don't remember anyone who actually considered any of them even vaguely attractive. It was more like the creepy guy who always hits on you in the bar and you see him coming and think "O God, here he is again, and this time he's wearing satin pants. I think I'm going to pretend to go to the bathroom and sneak out the back door." It was more like that.

  2. It reminds me of the days when I had big curly strawberry-blonde hair. I have none of 'em now. Oh, and we didn't have to spend time manscaping, either.

  3. Peenee -- Maurice and Robin, definitely not. But, hey, at last call, even with the satin pants, I'd probably give Barry a tumble. And I am not ashamed!

kansastock -- The manscaping is outta control. Frankly, I don't know how some of these guys find the time to do their topiary on a daily basis.

  4. Barry just passed for sexy back then but those brothers really hurt the eyes. Loved the music from Saturday Night Fever. The youngest brother was the cutest I guess...Andy Gibb. Worked with him and Victoria Principal when they did their duet single...do you remember that?

  5. I just *barely* remember that...in my mind, I get it confused with the pairing of Rex Smith and Rachel Sweet!

  6. Satin and chest hair is never a good combination, I'm afraid.

  7. For one thing, satin mats everything down so much...
